The Eagles have acquired fullback Luke Lawton from the Colts for a conditional 2009 7th round pick if Lawton makes the final 53-man roster of the Eagles.  Lawton is a big guy at 6′0″, 245 pounds and he’s a decent blocker.  He played in 11 games for the Colts last year and he carried the ball 5 times for 13 yards (2.6 ypc) and he also caught 4 passes for 29 yards (7.3 avg) with 1 TD grab.  Lawton also played in 4 games in 2005 for the Jets but he didn’t get to touch the football.  Lawton will have a decent chance to make the Eagles because he’s also a solid special teams player.
