Philadelphia Eagles 30, Dallas Cowboys 27

The Eagles held off a pesky Cowboys team in Dallas last night.  Michael Vick was effective once again last night as he completed 16 of 26 passes for 270 yards with 2 TD passes and 2 INTs.  He also carried the ball 8 times for 16 yards (2.0 ypc) with a TD run.  Lesean McCoy had a night to remember with 16 carries for 149 yards (9.3 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 4 yards.  Desean Jackson led the way through the air for the Eagles in this game as he caught 4 passes for 210 yards (52.5 avg) including a 91-yard TD grab.  WR Jason Avant (3 rec, 18 yards) and OG Todd Herremans (1 rec, 2 yards, TD) also pitched in for the Eagles in the passing game last night.  The Eagles finished up with 171 yards rushing on 27 carries (6.3 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 26 passes for 258 yards in this game.

LB Jamar Chaney (7 tackles), safety Quintin Mikell (6 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) and CB Dimitri Patterson (4 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) led the way for the Eagles’ D in this game.  The Cowboys finished up with 110 yards rushing on 24 carries (4.6 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 35 passes for 239 yards.  The Eagles are now 9-4 on the season and they are still atop the NFC East.

Philadelphia Eagles 34, Houston Texans 24

The Eagles outscored the pesky Texans 14-0 in the 4th quarter to put them away last night.  Michael Vick was solid once again as he completed 22 of 33 passes for 302 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 10 times for 48 yards (4.8 ypc) with a TD run.  Lesean McCoy was also busy in this game with 12 carries for 44 yards (3.7 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 8 passes for 86 yards (10.8 avg) with a TD grab.  Jerome Harrison pitched in with 3 carries for 20 yards (6.7 ypc) in this game.  WR Desean Jackson (3 rec, 84 yards), WR Jeremy Maclin (5 rec, 68 yards), TE Brent Celek (4 rec, 55 yards) and FB Owen Schmitt (1 rec, 5 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game last night.  The Eagles finished up with 115 yards rushing on 29 carries (4.0 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 33 passes for 301 yards.

Safety Quintin Mikell (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 2 passes defensed and 1 QB hit), CB Dimitri Patterson (6 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss) and LB Ernie Sims (5 tackles and 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Eagles’ D last night.  DT Trevor Laws (INT) and DE Darryl Tapp (fumble recovery) also made big plays for the D last night.  The Texans finished up with 108 yards rushing on 26 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 36 passes for 323 yards last night.  The Eagles are now 8-4 on the year.

Chicago Bears 31, Philadelphia Eagles 26

The Eagles couldn’t match points with the Bears yesterday at Soldier Field.  Michael Vick was solid again as he completed 29 of 44 passes for 333 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 9 times for 44 yards (4.9 ypc) yesterday.  Lesean McCoy pitched in with 10 carries for 53 yards (5.3 ypc) and he also caught 8 passes for 67 yards (8.4 avg) in this game.  WR Jason Avant (8 rec, 83 yards), TE Brent Celek (3 rec, 50 yards, TD) and WR Jeremy Maclin (4 rec, 47 yards, TD) led the way through the air in this game for the Eagles.  The Eagles finished up with 105 yards rushing on 22 carries (4.8 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 44 passes for 293 yards.

The defense couldn’t match the offense’s output yesterday as they had no answer for the Bears’ offense.  LB Stewart Bradley (5 tackles), LB Ernie Sims (5 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss), CB Trevard Lindley (5 tackles) and DE Trent Cole (5 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for a loss and 2 QB hits) led the way for the Eagles on D.  The Bears finished up with 131 yards rushing on 28 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 14 of 21 passes for 218 yards.  The Eagles are now 7-5 on the season as they are tied once again with the Giants atop of the NFC East.

Philadelphia Eagles 27, New York Giants 17

The Eagles were behind 17-16 with 13:35 left in this game and that’s when they came alive.  Michael Vick was so-so in this game as he completed 24 of 38 passes for 258 yards with 0 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 11 times for 34 yards (3.1 ypc) with a TD run but he also lost a fumble.  Lesean McCoy was awesome late in this game as he finished up with 14 carries for 111 yards (7.9 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 5 passes for 29 yards (5.8 avg).  WRs Jeremy Maclin (9 rec, 120 yards) and Desean Jackson (5 rec, 50 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Giants last Sunday Night.  The Eagles finished up with 148 yards rushing on 26 carries (5.7 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 38 passes for 244 yards.

Defensively the Eagles were outstanding in this game.  CB Dimitri Patterson (7 tackles) and LB Stewart Bradley (5 tackles, 3 passes defensed and 1 interception) led the way for the Eagles on D.  But it was CB Asante Samuel who was a big time difference maker in this game.  The Giants rushed for 61 yards on 19 carries (3.2 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 33 passes for 147 yards.  The Eagles are now 7-3 on the season.

The Eagles totally destroyed the Redskins last night in Washington.  The Eagles scored 28 unanswered points in the 4th quarter and they led this game 45-14 at the half!  What an amazing performance by Michael Vick.  He completed 20 of 28 passes for 333 yards with 4 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 8 times for 80 yards (10.0 ypc) with 2 TD runs last night!  Jerome Harrison led the way on the ground for the Eagles in this game with 109 yards rushing on 11 carries (9.9 ypc) with a TD run.  He also caught 1 pass for 15 yards last night.  Lesean McCoy pitched in with 43 yards rushing on 11 carries (3.9 ypc) and he also added 5 grabs for 51 yards (10.2 avg) with a TD grab.  WRs Desean Jackson (2 rec, 98 yards, TD), Jeremy Maclin (4 rec, 79 yards, TD) and Jason Avant (5 rec, 76 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game last night as Vick was spreading the wealth around.  The Eagles finished up with 260 yards rushing on 38 carries (6.8 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 28 passes for 332 yards as they had possession of the ball for 38:11 last night.

The defense gave up a lot of yards in garbage time but it didn’t matter.  LB Stewart Bradley (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 pass defensed), CB Dimtri Patterson (5 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 2 INTs (one was returned 40 yards for a TD) and safety Kurt Coleman (5 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) led the way for the D last night.  The Redskins finished up with 105 yards rushing on 18 carries (5.8 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 31 passes for 270 yards last night.  The Eagles are now tied atop of the AFC East with the Giants at 6-3.

Philadelphia Eagles 26, Indianapolis Colts 24

The Eagles pushed the Colts around yesterday as the refs were the only thing keeping the Colts in this game.  Michael Vick was outstanding in this game for the Eagles as he completed 17 of 29 passes for 218 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 10 times for 74 yards (7.4 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Lesean McCoy led the way on the ground for the Eagles in this game with 16 carries for 95 yards (5.9 ypc).  He also caught 3 passes for 8 yards (2.7 avg) in this game.  Desean Jackson was incredible in this game with 7 grabs for 109 yards (15.6 avg) with 1 TD grab.  He also carried the ball 3 times for 20 yards (6.7 ypc) yesterday.  Jeremy Maclin pitched in with 4 grabs for 48 yards (12.0 avg).  The Eagles finished up with 195 yards rushing on 31 carries (6.3 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 29 passes for 207 yards.

LB Stewart Bradley (8 tackles, 2 passes defensed), safety Quintin Mikell (8 tackles, 1 pass defensed) and LB Ernie Sims (6 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for a loss and 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Eagles’ D in this game.  CB Asante Samuel continues to own Peyton Manning as he picked him off two more times yesterday.  The Colts finished up with 62 yards rushing on 19 carries (3.3 ypc) and they also completed 31 of 52 passes for 276 yards.  The Eagles are now 5-3 on the year.

Tennessee Titans 37, Philadelphia Eagles 19

The Eagles were actually ahead in this game 19-10 with 13:26 left in the game before the roof caved in on them.  Kevin Kolb was not too good today for the Eagles.  He completed 26 of 48 passes for 231 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 INTs (one of which was returned 41-yards for a TD by Titans’ corner Cortland Finnegan).  Kolb also carried the ball 3 times for 18 yards (6.0 ypc) and he lost a fumble.  Lesean McCoy only rushed for 48 yards on 16 carries (3.0 ypc) in this game but he also caught 6 passes for 54 yards (9.0 avg).  Jason Avant (6 rec, 60 yards), Riley Cooper (3 rec, 51 yards, TD) and Jeremy Maclin (5 rec, 42 yards) all pitched in for the Eagles in the passing game today.  The Eagles finished up with 99 yards rushing on 24 carries (4.1 ypc) and they also completed 26 of 48 passes for 227 yards as they had possession of the ball for 33:24.

The defense went all out to stop Chris Johnson (24 carries, 66 yards) which they did but they forgot all about WR Kenny Britt who caught an amazing 7 passes for 225 yards (32.1 avg) with 3 TD grabs against the Eagles today!  DT Antonio Dixon led the way for the Eagles’ D today with 7 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, 2 passes defensed and 1 QB hit.  DE Juqua Parker (fumble recovery), CB Asante Samuel (interception) and safety Quintin Mikell (interception) all made big plays for the Eagles on D today.  The Titans finished up with 75 yards rushing on 26 carries (2.9 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 31 passes for 253 yards.  The Eagles are now 4-3 on the season after this loss.

The Eagles thrashed the Falcons today.  Kevin Kolb tried to stake a claim that he should be the starting QB even after Michael Vick gets healthy.  Kolb completed 23 of 29 passes for 326 yards with 3 TD passes and 1 INT.  Lesean McCoy had a so-so game carrying the ball 21 times for 64 yards (3.0 ypc) and he also caught 4 passes for 21 yards (5.3 avg).  Eldra Buckley pitched in with 40 yards rushing on 12 carries (3.3 ypc) today.  Jeremy Maclin led the way in the passing game for the Eagles with 7 grabs for 159 yards (22.7 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  Jason Avant (5 rec, 62 yards) and Brent Celek (4 rec, 46 yards) pitched in for the Eagles in the passing game.  Desean Jackson made a huge impact in this game for the Eagles before having to leave with a injury.  Jackson caught 1 pass for 34 yards (a TD) and he also carried the ball 2 times for 44 yards (22.0 ypc) with a TD run.  The Eagles finished up with 154 yards rushing on 38 carries (4.1 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 29 passes for 320 yards.

The defense was solid all day long for the Eagles today against a solid Falcons’ offense.  LB Stewart Bradley (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed and 1 QB hit) and DE Trent Cole (5 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Eagles today on D.  Asante Samuel (interception) and Daryl Tapp (fumble recovery) also made some big plays for the Eagles today.  The Falcons finished up with 65 yards rushing on 19 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 42 passes for 228 yards.  The Eagles are now 4-2 on the season.

Philadelphia Eagles 27, San Francisco 49ers 24

The Eagles took advantage of some 49ers’ mistakes and they made them pay for them last night.  The Eagles were also very solid offensively in this game.  Kevin Kolb was sharp as he completed 21 of 31 passes for 253 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 3 times for 17 yards (5.7 ypc).  Lesean McCoy put up some impressive numbers despite playing with a fractured rib.  He carried the ball 18 times for 92 yards (5.1 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 5 passes for 46 yards (9.2 avg).  Jeremy Maclin (6 rec, 95 yards) and Brent Celek (3 rec, 47 yards, TD) led the way for the Eagles through the air last night.  The Eagles finished up with 125 yards rushing on 27 carries (4.6 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 31 passes for 227 yards last night.

Defensively the Eagles gave up quite a few yards but the turnovers they forced made a big difference in the scoreboard.  Safety Quintin Mikell led the way for the Eagles with a outstanding game.  He finished up with 8 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 2 fumble recoveries (one of which he returned 52 yards for a TD).  LB Ernie Sims (fumble recovery), rookie CB Trevard Lindley (INT) and CB Dimitri Patterson (INT) all made huge plays for the Eagles’ D last night.  The 49ers finished up with 74 yards rushing on 22 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 39 passes for 290 yards.  The Eagles are now 3-2 on the year.

Washington Redskins 17, Philadelphia Eagles 12

The Redskins jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and they made it stand up due to very physical play.  Michael Vick completed 5 of 7 passes for 49 yards and he carried the ball 3 times for 17 yards (5.7 ypc) before leaving the game due to injury.  Kevin Kolb replaced him and he was so-so as he completed 22 of 35 passes for 201 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  Kolb also carried the ball 2 times for 21 yards (10.5 ypc) yesterday.  Lesean McCoy was a very busy guy in this game with 16 carries for 64 yards (4.0 ypc) and he also caught 12 passes for 110 yards (9.2 avg).  Brent Celek pitched in with 3 grabs for 27 yards (9.0 avg) with 1 TD grab in this contest.  The Eagles finished up with 110 yards rushing on 25 carries (4.4 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 42 passes for 243 yards.

Defensively the Eagles couldn’t stop the running game but they did pretty much shut down the Skins’ passing game.  Safety Quinton Mikell (7 tackles), LB Ernie Sims (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit) and LB Stewart Bradley (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) led the way for the Eagles’ D yesterday.  Rookie safety Nate Allen pitched in with a interception off of Donovan McNabb.  The Redskins finished up with 169 yards rushing on 35 carries (4.8 ypc) and they also completed 8 of 19 passes for 124 yards.  The Eagles are now 2-2 on the year.
