The Eagles have signed 30-year old WR Kelley Washington to a 1-year deal.  Washington played in 15 games (2 starts) for the Ravens last season and he caught 34 passes for 431 yards (12.7 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  He has now played in 83 games (8 starts) in his 7 years in the NFL and he has caught 107 passes for 1,327 yards (12.4 avg) with 11 TD grabs.  This was a solid signing for the Eagles as Washington could work his way up to be the #3 or #4 WR for the Eagles in 2010.

The Eagles have brought back 27-year old WR Hank Baskett on a 1-year deal.  Baskett played in 12 games for the Colts & Eagles last season in which he caught 5 passes for 34 yards (6.8 avg).  He has now played in 59 games in his NFL career in which he has caught 76 passes for 1,080 yards (14.2 avg) with 6 TD grabs.  Baskett will have a tough time making the Eagles this season as they are pretty loaded at WR.

The Eagles have signed WR/KR Chad Hall to a three year deal.  Hall spent the last two years serving the Air Force as a second lieutenant.  Hall will have a good chance to win the job as the kickoff returner for the Eagles in 2010.  It’s always nice to see a player like Hall get a chance after serving his country.

The Eagles have signed 26-year old CB/S Marlin Jackson to a 2-year deal.  Jackson played in 4 games for the Colts last season in which he made 10 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, he defensed 1 pass and he had 1 interception.  Jackson has now played in 56 games in his NFL career and he has made 284 tackles, has defensed 15 passes, has 1/2 a sack, forced 2 fumbles and he has 4 interceptions.  This was a good move for the Eagles as Jackson is a very physical defensive back.

The Eagles have signed 26-year old running back Dwayne Wright to a 2-year deal.  He only played one year with the Bills (2007) and he appeared in 15 games in which he carried the ball 29 times for 94 yards (3.2 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 17 yards (5.7 avg).  Wright also returned 1 kickoff for 0 yards and he made 3 tackles.  I’m not so sure what the Eagles see in Wright but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
