The Eagles have released QB Jeff Garcia to make room on the roster for Jeremiah Trotter.  Garcia only played in 1 game for the Eagles this season and he carried the ball 3 times for -2 yards (-0.7 ypc).  Garcia’s career in Philly appears to be over.  He played in 9 games for the Eagles in his career and he completed 116 of 188 passes (61.7%) for 1,309 yards with 10 TD passes and 2 interceptions (95.8 QB Rating).  He also carried the ball 28 times for 85 yards (3.0 ypc) for the Eagles.  The Eagles must feel that Donovan McNabb is getting close to returning and they feel confident that Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick can back him up.
