The Philadelphia Eagles sign Jeremiah Trotter
The Eagles have signed 32-year old linebacker Jeremiah Trotter. Trotter last played in the NFL in 2007 with the Buccaneers. Trotter has played in 134 games in his NFL career in which he has made 876 tackles, has defensed 50 passes, 12 1/2 sacks, forced 8 fumbles and he has picked off 9 passes (2 returned for a TD). Trotter played 7 years for the Eagles earlier in his career and he’s glad to be coming back to the City of Brotherly Love. This was a good move for the Eagles.

I like this move a lot for the Eagles as Trotter has a ton of talent, and has to have at least some of it left. The Eagles dropped QB Jeff Garcia to make roster room. I think that also shows the Eagles have confidence in QB Kevin Kolb, as he played well this week and will be a good back-up when McNabb returns from his cracked rib.
