Chicago Bears 24, Philadelphia Eagles 20
The Eagles just came up a tad short last Sunday Night against the Bears in Chicago. Donovan McNabb had a solid game completing 25 of 41 passes for 262 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception. Correll Buckhalter got the start in place of an injured Brian Westbrook and he carried the ball 16 times for 66 yards (4.1 ypc) with 1 TD run. Reggie Brown led the way in the passing game for the Eagles with 6 catches for 79 yards (13.2 avg). DeSean Jackson was also busy with 5 grabs for 71 yards (14.2 avg) with a TD grab and he also carried the ball 2 times for 35 yards (17.5 ypc). The Eagles finished up with 103 yards rushing on 23 carries (4.5 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 41 passes for 237 yards.
Linebacker Omar Gaither (9 tackles, fumble recovery) and DE Trent Cole (8 tackles, interception) led a impressive effort by the Eagles’ defense. The Bears finished up with only 78 yards rushing on 26 carries (3.0 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 34 passes for 178 yards. The Eagles are now 2-2 on the season.
