Dallas Cowboys 38, Philadelphia Eagles 17
This game was not pretty as the offense kept stubbing their toes and the defense couldn’t stop T.O. and his buddies. Donovon McNabb piled up some numbers but he wasn’t throwing the ball down the field and that wound up hurting the Eagles in this game. McNabb completed 27 of 46 passes for 264 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 interceptions. Brian Westbrook was very active as he carried the ball 16 times for 65 yards (4.1 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 14 passes for 90 yards (6.4 avg). Reggie Brown made 2 grabs for 55 yards (27.5 avg). Kevin Curtis pitched in with 5 grabs for 51 yards (10.2 avg). Hank Baskett got a garbage TD late in the 4th quarter and he finished with 3 catches for 28 yards (9.3 avg) with a TD grab. The Eagles finished up with 66 yards rushing on 19 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 46 passes for 250 yards.
Defensive tackle Mike Patterson led a poor defensive effort from the Eagles with 9 tackles. The Cowboys finished up with 110 yards rushing on 32 carries (3.4 ypc) and they completed 20 of 25 passes for 324 yards.

Personally, I think Mcnabb is one of the top 3 black QB’s to ever play the game. Unfortunately, he has behaved himself like a baby during his tenure here in Philly. Every time he has a bad game or his back is against the wall he plays the race card or tries to deflect the blame. When the team is winning he doesn’t mind getting the credit (remember he said: “The road to the NFC Championship goes through Philly”) Rusch Limbaugh was not being a racist when he said that Donovan was overrated…HE WAS OVERRATED! T.O. was not committing black on black crime by stating that Brett Favre was a better QB…WE ALL KNOW IT WAS TRUE! Last year when Brett Favre was throwing 20+ interceptions he didn’t blame the team…he took the blame himself. He also let management know that he needed more offensive weapons. He got them this year and I guess a 7-1 record speaks for itself. Anyway, even when T.O. was here Donovan was still throwing balls at his ankles and over his head. I’ll never forget seeing a dejected T.O. walking back to the huddle after having 2 or 3 balls overthrown while he was wide open. Once Donovan gets healthy he will be a very good QB, but the sad part is he can not handle pressure. All of the great QB’s thrive on pressure but Donovan seems to fold. Eli & Peyton Manning were criticized when things weren’t going well. Ben Rothlesberger was criticized for the whole motorcycle accident thing. Brett Favre & John Elway were criticized time and again for losing big games until they got over the hump. Donovan somehow thinks that he is being criticized because he is a black QB. He must wake up and realize that football is the only sport that comes closest to military combat. The commander is not supposed to hang his troops out to dry. THERE IS NO WHINING IN FOOTBALL!!!
