Philadelphia Eagles 56, Detroit Lions 21

The Eagles woke up from the slumber they were in and they destroyed the Lions yesterday.  Donovan McNabb had a game for the ages as he completed 21 of 26 passes for 381 yards with 4 TD passes and 0 interceptions for a perfect 158.3 QB Rating.  Brian Westbrook had another outstanding game as he carried the ball 14 times for 110 yards (7.9 ypc) with 2 TD runs and he also caught 5 passes for 111 yards (22.2 avg) with 1 TD grab.  Correll Buckhalter carried the ball 7 times for 43 yards (6.1 ypc) with 1 TD run and rookie Tony Hunt carried the ball 1 time for 1 yard and a TD.  WR Kevin Curtis had the best game of his career as he caught 11 passes for 221 yards (20.1 avg) with 3 TD grabs.  The Eagles finished up with 173 yards rushing on 34 carries (5.1 ypc) and they completed 21 of 26 passes for 363 yards.

The defense was outstanding despite giving up a lot of yards as they sacked Jon Kitna 9 times yesterday.  DE Trent Cole was outstanding as he made 5 tackles and had 3 sacks.  DT Brodrick Bunkley also was good with 4 tackles and 2 sacks.  The Eagles only allowed 39 yards rushing on 12 carries (3.3 ypc) but the Lions did complete 29 of 46 passes for 393 yards.
