The Phildelphia Eagles trade down with the hated Dallas Cowboys

Blogged under Big Eagles News,Bloglockers,Front Page,The Draft Report by dawgpounded on Saturday 28 April 2007 at 4:02 pm

The Eagles have traded their #26 pick in the first round to the Cowboys for the 2nd round pick that the Boys’ got from the Browns for Brady Quinn (#36), the Cowboys 3rd rounder (#87) and a 5th rounder (#159).  It seems like the Eagles got pretty good value for dropping down only 10 spots but I hate the fact that they traded with their enemies.  The Eagles better hope DE Anthony Spencer isn’t beating up on their QBs in the future.

The Philadelphia Eagles are on the clock…………..

I have conducted a complete 7 round draft for every team in the NFL.  If you want to see what I have projected for any other team in the NFL, click on the team name in the right hand margin and go to the team’s Draft Report page if you don’t see the article on the front page of the site.  This was a lot of work so I hope you enjoy it.

The Eagles are going to be thinking defense on draft day.  Hopefully this year’s draft will be better than last year’s which was horrendous!  Here are the players likely to be Eagles after the Draft is over in a couple of weeks:

1. (26)  Jarvis Moss, DE, Florida

2. (57)  Jon Beason, OLB, Miami (Florida)

3. (90)  Eric Weddle, S, Utah

5. (162)  Jay Alford, DT, Penn State

6. (201)  Antonio Johnson, DT, Mississippi State

7. (236)  Ramonce Taylor, RB, Texas College

If the Eagles draft shakes out this way, Andy Reid will be ecstatic as these players will upgrade the defense from Day #1.
