What a shocker this game was! The Eagles had a 24-7 lead at the start of the third quarter and choked due to a utter lack of a running game to burn the clock. Donovan McNabb completed 27 of 45 passes (60%) for 350 yards and 2 TDs. McNabb also ran the ball 4 times for 31 yards (7.8 ypc). RB Brian Westbrook ran the ball 19 times for 68 yards (3.6 ypc) and a TD, he also caught 7 passes for 56 yards (8.0 avg). Despite the numbers, Westbrook was one of the key reasons that the Eagles lost this game with a fumble in the 4th quarter. TE LJ Smith caught 7 passes for 111 yards (15.9 avg). Donte’ Stallworth had another good game catching 5 passes for 81 yards (16.2 avg) and a TD. WR Reggie Brown caught one pass and it was a 23 yard TD.

The Eagles defense played great for 3 quarters, but awful in the 4th quarter and OT. LB Shawn Barber had 9 tackles, S Michael Lewis had 8 tackles and S Brian Dawkins had 9 tackles. DE Trent Cole had 2 sacks, and Jevon Kearse had 2.5 sacks. The Eagles held the Giants high-powered running attack to 86 yards and only 3.3 yards per carry. Eli Manning completed 72.1% of his passes against the Eagles secondary for 318 net yards in the air.

This game is going to leave a scar on the morale of the Eagles team.
