The Eagles look good in defeat

The Eagles first team beat the Ravens first team 10-3 in the first half, but then the Ravens back-ups dominated the second half to prevail 20-10.  Donovan McNabb was a bright spot once again as he completed 6 of 10 passes for 97 yards and a TD, he also ran once for six yards.  But the story of the game was the return of running back Correll Buckhalter.  Buckhalter has missed the last two seasons with multiple injuries, but he looked good shaking off the rust.  Buckhalter only rushed for 8 yards on five carries, but he caught a shovel pass from Donovan McNabb and took in 48 yards for six points.  Running back Reno Mahe also had a good game, rushing twice for 14 yards and catching two passes for 12 yards including a 1-yard TD reception.  WR Jabar Gaffney also looked good catching four passes for 37 yards as he is moving up the depth chart.

The defense had their troubles though.  The Ravens rushed the ball 32 times for 138 yards, and completed 18 of 27 passes for 221 net yards.  The Ravens also held the ball for 35:49.  But it’s just pre-season.
